My mom was always very busy taking care of my siblings and I but she always made sure our birthdays were extra special. Sometimes my mom would bake a cake and sometimes my grandma would but every now and then my aunt, who lived  away, would come and bring me an actual decorated cake! I’m talking Barbie doll, piped roses, and special shaped cakes! All the things a little girl loves for her birthday. That’s when I started loving decorated cakes. Fast forward to when I’m grown and have a little girl of my own. For her first birthday, of course I’m making her first cake! It was much harder than I thought it would be and didn't turn out very neat but it was made with all my heart.

 

Then for my son's first birthday my husband bought me my first Wilton cake decorating kit and I knew I was hooked. Add 2 more girls and another boy which means lots of birthdays and with each one I got better and better and loved it more and more. In 2013 I started making cakes and cupcakes for friends and family. In 2017 I started my social media and chose the name Love at First Bite because I strongly believe cake should taste just as good as it looks. Every bite should be memorable.
